Announcing: Olympus Incubator

Our goal at Olympus is to create the reserve currency for DeFi. In order to achieve our lofty ambitions, we must build the greatest digital economy in the world: the econohmy. The former cannot come to fruition without the latter.

Olympus Incubator was incepted at OIP-41 with a mission to accelerate the econohmy through the funding new protocols that utilize or build on OHM or other Olympus products.

Since November, we have been piloting the program and refining our incubator model. We have been overwhelmed with interest and talked to contributors at dozens of early stage projects. In doing so, we have validated our hypothesis that we at Olympus have a truly unique and valuable proposition. Again and again we’ve heard from founders that traditional funders (👋 VCs and whales) are mercenary, misaligned, and mostly “just money”.

If you ask founders who have been through successful Web 2.0 incubator programs like Y-Combinator, they will tell you that the real value is not the money. Rather, it is the community, playbooks and mentorship. Olympus can supply all of this for the crypto world, and much more.

In addition to funding, Olympus Incubator can provide the following to our projects:

• Exposure and promotion to high-quality stakeholders

It’s this last point that really drives home what we’re doing with Olympus Incubator — we’re bringing an entire community of cooperators with the (3,3) mentality into early projects when they need more than just the money.

HODLing, support, and cooperation is in our DNA. We HODL launched Incubator projects’ tokens in our treasury (thus, removing them from circulation!). We intend to stand by their side all along the way from ideation through to launch and beyond. We’re there long after post-launch; for support, feedback, and further development.
